We have worked within communities and schools for over 10 years to develop creative film and documentary project that both inspire and engage.  Please contact us to discuss your education project further, as we have experience in this area we can advise on funding if this hasn't yet been secured.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROJECTS INCLUDE:
  • Barnardo's Youth Film
We worked alongside M6 Youth Theatre to develop and produce 3 x films around Sexual Health and Peer Pressure with young people with HIV for the Barnardos Young Peoples Website.  The young people worked hard to develop the scripts and had an insight in production techniques and using green screens.


  • Explore Falinge
Young people took part in developing films and animations for the Online Cross Platform Project Explore Falinge which took place in 2010 to show critics of their community in Central Rochdale the hard work taking place and their stories behind the headlines!

  • DESIRE
Worked alongside a group of economic migrants who moved into the Rochdale area, telling the story of where they had come from and how where they are now effects their identities as young people.  Developed alongside Rochdale Youth Service and URBIS Manchester.

  • Behind Closed Doors
A short filming dealing with sexual health issues within the asian community and the lengths young people may go to keep relationships secret from their family.  This was developed alongside the Sudden and Brimrod Youth Group in Rochdale and shown in front of the local community.

  • Up Yer Game
Worked alongside a group of young father, this film project was developed around world cinema to bring you young people onboard to develop a script alongside drama worker Chris Sudsworth.  The film ended up with a multi-location, god father type film that dealt with the issues of peer pressure and becoming a young DAD.

  • Hit The North
A 10 week Film course  working alongside writers, filmmakers and producers concluded in a 20 minute short film which the young people starred in.  The film deals with the issues of crime and drugs within their community and tells the story of an asian young man just released from prison, dealing with the demons of his past.

  • Boyz In The Hood - (As Seen on BBC2)
Working with a group of young asian men on a sexual health the project, Glass Eye alongside Rochdale Youth Service to develop a concept that would easily reach the target audience using a mixture and film and graphics to make their messages appear stylistically within the film.  This project subsequently went on to be showcased on BBC2 and highly commended by the NSPCC.

    • Darnhill Youth Football Team
    This group wanted to develop a promo around their love of football and to promote their local team.  They worked alongside filmmakers and youth workers to breakdown a Nike TV Commerical which they then went onto recreate for themselves.

    • V-Involved Summer Project
    Young people developed a script over 10 weeks to produce 3 x films to inform young people on volunteering and the benefits that it can bring to their community and future work aspirations.

    • The Lost Journey
    A collaboration between Glass Eye and M6 Youth Theatre, The Lost Journey was developed as a Moving On Story about a girl who had to make choices between what she always knew and her future.

    • In Schools Documentary / Drama
    Explored the pressures that young people deal with in schools today and how this effects their education and futures, alongside M6 Youth Theatre.  The project was developed in two parts working with young people from various high schools in Rochdale.
